Cabinet reports leakage minutes of the Council of Ministers
The cabinet will report the leakage of information from the minutes of the Council of Ministers. These are state secrets, but data from minutes of a council of ministers discussing the benefits affair ended up at last week.
Those minutes showed that in 2019 information was deliberately withheld from the House of Representatives about the benefits affair. The purpose of this was to keep involved officials and politicians out of the wind and to keep the matter as small as possible. According to Prime Minister Rutte, nothing ‘improper’ happened, but the House of Representatives demanded the disclosure of the documents.
