Facebook bans director company that researched fake news for US Senate
Facebook has banned the director of the research bureau New Knowledge from his social tool because the researcher spread fake news.
The man, Jonathan Morgan, told The Washington Post to be the person expelled by Facebook. The social medium hits the measure after Morgan, during a Senate election in 2017, has experimented on Facebook with the propagation of sensational news.
The company New Knowledge recently investigated the committee of the American Senate. This committee investigates the coordinated distribution of fake news from Russia. The Senate made this investigation, and an inquiry from the University of Oxford, public on Monday.
Morgan confessed to The Washington Post Tuesday that he had created a misleading Facebook page to reach conservative voters during the Senate election in the state of Alabama in 2017.
