Prison sentences of ten months for information robbery at GGD
The two men charged in the criminal case surrounding the ‘GGD leak’ have been sentenced to prison terms. The heaviest sentence is for a 21-year-old man from Heiloo. The judge sentenced him to ten months in prison, five of which were conditional. With the deduction of his pre-trial detention, he still has to go to prison for two months.
The other suspect, a 23-year-old man from Alblasserdam, was sentenced to 60 days in prison, 34 days on probation. Community service order of 180 hours he was also given a. He no longer has to go to jail because he has already served his prison sentence in his pre-trial detention.
The sentences for the men are lower than the requirements of the Public Prosecution Service (respectively twelve months and a half years in prison), partly because the court has taken into account the fact that the men are still relatively young.
